On the 23rd of March, 2016, those of you who are passionate about developing software applications cannot miss MOSS 2016 – Make Open Source Software, taking place in Bucharest. The Association of Employers in Software and Services will organize this event, dedicated to software developers and open source enthusiasts.
MOSS is an event with technical and educational content that encourages the exchange of experience between experts in the field of open source information and IT specialists and it is a good opportunity for young people interested in developing their own business in IT to interact with app developers, students and experts in this field.

The conference will include two main segments – Embedded & Mobile Systems and Cloud Solutions and will be held in the form of presentations. The topics and projects that have been proposed for discussions by the organizers range from developing mobile applications, developing applications for hardware equipment to designing and developing hybrid cloud solutions or cloud monitoring applications.

Proposals of innovative open source solutions and technologies presentations are expected from both the business sector (case studies or best practices) and the academic sector and will be evaluated by the conference’s jury depending on the novelty of the information, the practical applicability and the business impact of the proposed solutions.
The 2016 MOSS conference will bring together over 150 people – developers, project managers, students and teachers interested in open source technologies in order to create more opportunities for interaction for the open source community in Romania.
The first edition of MOSS, that was held in March 2015, had as special guest Brian King, the European Community Manager at Mozilla and included presentations, case studies and live demonstrations about open source technology. The event was organized by ANIS in collaboration with Intel Romania Software Development Center and brought together more than 80 students, open source developers and project managers.
